I saw this movie about Nola Devlin, an editor of a magazine (Sass!). She wanted to write on the magazine but the editor-in-chief discourages her because she thinks she is not the face of the magazine. So she created this secret identity, Belinda Apple. Belinda is thin, gorgeous and British who is the author of an advice column. Nobody knows her secret even her best friends. She wrote this article on how to lose weight easily her best friends took her advice and created “Cinderella Pact”. But as the pounds come off, things don’t turn out the way the three friends expect. Their journey of self-discovery leads to the return of an old love and the unmasking of new problems. In the end, everything turned out well.
We are all Cinderellas, no matter what our size.
“Remember that you don’t need a prince to be Cinderella, and that Prince Charming was nothing but an icky foot fetishist.” -Belinda Apple
“God doesn’t care if I’m putting on a few pounds or getting a bit wide in the caboose. God doesn’t hint that I should get my breasts done or my ass lifted. That’s what makes God the perfect husband; He loves me for who I am.” – Nola
- We have to embrace and love our self, every inch of ourself.
- When lying mounts up, it explodes like a volcano and everybody gets hurt.
- Nobody can help us but ourselves. Help your self!
- Determination and hard work is the key.
