Plus Size Empowerment Campaign Video

October 26, 2011 § Leave a comment

I love this brand because they make you feel good inside and out. The ad shows that someone out there also feels the same way you do. All we have to do is accept the truth and live with it. Here’s the ads campaign

“Here is our Erzullie: Fierce Fashion for Plus Size Ladies video for our plus size empowerment campaign, “Now, I’m Fierce”. I hope that this touches you in a personal level and inspires you to become more than what you think you are or what people make you think about yourself as a plus size woman… “

I was moved when Ms Jhaki said she has to starve just to fit in. 😦 Sadly, the world is so harsh to people who are big. They always makes you feel down because your size is doubled. They always think being thin means being beautiful. Well, for me beauty does not come in size. All you need is the confidence to let your beauty shine.

Cheers to Erzullie for this ad!

White Party

October 19, 2011

Theme: White Party

Event: Bonnie Bailey’s Concert

The party was nice but I must say the producers would have been bummed out. There were only few who bought tickets for this party. Would have been practical if the party was held in a smaller place. Nevertheless, a party with friends is still the best! Anyhow, I love they decorated the stage. It was awesome!

See the lotus flower? on top is the DJ.

Party with friends

OOTD: white blazer | silver leopard print bodysuit | Levis shorts | Gold Dot wedges

Just like JC’s boots. love em!

If I wont win maybe I have to start saving so I can buy them all.

Whoops Story of the Day: Mistaken Identity

October 19, 2011 § Leave a comment

A while a go, I went window shopping.

The situation: I was looking at this BLACK blazer and heard two ladies talking behind me. I like the blazer but it was not the color I was looking for so I needed assistance.

Me (turning to the two ladies behind me):  Umm, miss do you have color white for this blazer?

The two ladies looked at me and was kind of surprised. The other walked away while the other one acted like she never heard a thing. I was puzzled by their actions.

The other lady: Ma, which is better this one or this?

Me: Whoops! Sorry! (turned out to be they were not salesladies. haha!)

I soooo…. want to laugh that time. Their reactions were so funny! Until now I can remember their faces but I was really sorry for thinking they were salesladies and I was kind of ashamed for asking them without checking if they were in uniforms. :))

Repos from facebook: “This summer, do you want to be a mermaid or a whale?”

October 5, 2011 § Leave a comment

A while back, at the entrance of a gym, there was a picture of a very thin and beautiful woman. The caption was “This summer, do you want to be a mermaid or a whale?”

The story goes, a woman (of clothing size unknown) answered the following way:

“Dear people, whales are always surrounded by friends (dolphins, seals, curious humans), they are sexually active and raise their children with great tenderness.
They entertain like crazy with dolphins and eat lots of prawns. They swim all day and travel to fantastic places like Patagonia, the Barents Sea or the coral reefs of Polynesia.
They sing incredibly well and sometimes even are on cds. They are impressive and dearly loved animals, which everyone defend and admires.

Mermaids do not exist.

But if they existed, they would line up to see a psychologist because of a problem of split personality: woman or fish?
They would have no sex life and could not bear children.
Yes, they would be lovely, but lonely and sad.
And, who wants a girl that smells like fish by his side?

Without a doubt, I’d rather be a whale.

At a time when the media tells us that only thin is beautiful, I prefer to eat ice cream with my kids, to have dinner with my husband, to eat and drink and have fun with my friends.

We women, we gain weight because we accumulate so much wisdom and knowledge that there isn’t enough space in our heads, and it spreads all over our bodies.
We are not fat, we are greatly cultivated.
Every time I see my curves in the mirror, I tell myself: “How amazing am I ?! “

Where Am I?
